Biggest Loser - Blue and Black are Back

Paul and Kelly retreat to their room feeling guilty about sending Bette Sue and Ali home.

Jenn and Maggie confront Paul and Kelly about comments made in the elimination room.  The girls have been below the yellow line and so they’re perceived as not working hard enough. Bob calls Jenn out because she’s letting other people’s opinion affect them, instead of just knowing in her own heart how hard she’s working.

Brittany opened up to Jillian about her past.  She’s struggled with her weight since she was young, using food for emotional support in place of her father, who died when she was four.

For the challenge, the first person to run up escalators ten times will win the power to pick the teams they will train with.  Half the players will be the Black Team training with Jillian and the other half will be the Blue Team training with Bob.

Bob and Jillian race Biggest Loser

Instead of the players running up the escalator, Bob and Jillian will face off.  Bob is off to an early lead, but Jillian wasted no time catching up.  Bob takes the steps two at a time and by lap 6 Jillian is struggling to make it to the top.  Bob won the challenge and selected three teams to train.

The Blue Team members are:

Jackie and Dan; Mark and Jay; Roger and Trent.

Bob’s Blue Team Biggest Loser

Bob stacked the deck in his favor, but we’ve seen Jillian kick butt with the underdogs before.   She is ready for war now!

The Black Team members are:

Brittany and Bernie; Paul and Kelly; Jenn and Maggie.

Jillian’s Black Team

Now that the lines have been drawn, the new teams are being put to the test.  The players line up on the escalators and the last man standing wins $10,000 for the team. Paul and Trent are both injured so they just ride the escalator down and step off.

Kelly was the next to go, followed by Jenn.  Jackie and Roger dropped out and evened up the teams 3:3. Maggie and Bernie got off the escalator, leaving Brittany alone representing the Black Team.  Mark, Jay and Dan stayed on for the Blue Team and Brittany just couldn’t do it by herself but she did a great job.

Now that Mark and Jay are on the same team with Jackie and Dan it’s time to rethink the game play. These two teams have strategized to get rid of each other and now they have to work together.  Bob reminds his team that there is strength in numbers.   Last week he hated the game playing and this week he’s all about the game.

While Bob has the Blue Team doing Yoga poses, Jillian has the Black Team boxing.  I’m sure Bernie and Brittany are imagining Bob’s face at the end of their swings. They were really hurt when Bob passed them up, especially since they WERE the Blue Team.

The temptation challenge involves hundreds of cups of soda. There is a star at the bottom of one cup and the team that finds it can sit out a member from the other team.  The Blue Team is waiting for the Black Team to make a move.  Neither team goes for it so Allison eliminates 2/3 of the cups.  No one took the temptation.

Last chance workout = pain, sweat, tears. At the weight in Brittany told Bob how she felt about not being selected and he offers no apology.

Blue Team weighs in as individuals beginning with Jay (-5), Mark (-5), Trent (-9), Roger (-10), Jackie (-8) and Dan (-13).

Black Team weighs in beginning with Jenn (-6), Maggie (-7), Bernie (-5), Brittany (-2), Kelly (0) and Paul (+3).  Paul is mortified by the weight gain. He cut his calories and got the opposite result of what he wanted.  Jillian knows the team is working hard in the gym, so it comes down to food issues.

The Blue Team didn’t celebrate their win because it was such a bummer weigh in.  Maggie was the biggest loser on her team so everyone else on the Black Team is fair game. Jenn and Maggie each received two votes in the elimination room. Bernie and Brittany cast the final two votes for Jenn, sending her home.

Jenn has lost 53 pounds.
