The Biggest Losers are taking a road trip to visit a big hole, the Grand Canyon. They’re excited to learn about the trip, until they realize it’s THE BIGGEST LOSER! They’re going to kill these people. On the way to the Grand Canyon they stop at a convenience store the middle of no where for a rendezvous with Alison. It’s prize time!
Most of the players will be roughing it on a cot but one team will be able to sleep in a luxury RV. They just have to win a temptation challenge. They’re taken into a convenience store to test their knowledge of some tasty treats. The players have to guess the calories and if they are closest without going over, they win a pack of gum, and three packs of gum wins the RV. If they don’t win they have to eat the snack.
The first item is a Rolo and everyone plays except the Yellow Team (Coleen & Jerry) and the Brown Team (Vicky & Brady). Heba and Ed won the first the round and the second, stick cheese. The third round was a hot dog and only Heba and Ed were willing to guess - so they won the prize.
The teams arrive at the campsite and find workout equipment. They’re not very creative and settle on taking a walk. They’re missing their trainers. Jerry settled by the campfire, while Brady, Ed and Amy got in some serious napage. I hope they’re well rested for the next challenge.
They will row, row, row kayaks on the Colorado River. On team member will be in the kayak while the other players pull a rope to bring them back to the deck. If their kayak touches the deck, they’re eliminated. The winner will win their own RV.
Amy paddled for the red team Shellay sabotaged Amy, throwing in all her rope at once and sinking they’re chances to win. Shellay then tried to pull in Ed.
Phil pulled Michelle back in no time and Jerry got Vicky back to the dock. It came down to Amy and Ed, paddling for dear life. Ed and Heba won the challenge (again!) Phil really wanted to win the RV for his family, but he just needs to win the cash prize and then he can buy his own.
Back at the ranch, the contestants get comfy, but not too comfy. Bob is surprised to hear his team didn’t work out much. He takes his teams outside to show them what to do next time they’re stranded at the Grand Canyon without a gym within miles. Jillian ran her team in a relay, but Jerry couldn’t keep up. He was sent to the hospital to make sure he doesn’t have a blood clot or infection. Coleen needs to step up for her team. Instead she’s reduced to tears during the last chance workout. Jillian boxed Michelle into submission and then tried to build her back up to have a voice.
Jerry was checked out and he has a torn hamstring. He’s back just in time for the weigh in. Only one team will fall below the yellow line this week and then only one team member will go home. The pair will have to pick which one goes home. That’s tough!
Here are the results of the weigh in
Phil -10 and Amy -5
Vicky -3 and Brady -5
Michelle -3 and Renee -6. They’ve lost 47 pounds in 3 weeks.
Ed -10 and Heba -6. Ed is now 299 and he feels different - he doesn’t feel as fat any more. They’re shaping up to serious competition.
Shellay -3 and Amy -6. Shelly is now in the one hundreds.
Jerry +2 and Coleen -7. It’s all water weight!
Jerry and Coleen are below the yellow line and one of them’s got to go. I’m sad to see them go, because Jerry REALLY needs it but he can’t do much with his leg. Jerry threw himself on the sword for his daughter. Back at home he kept it up and has lost 70 pounds. He can run a mile and bikes 5 miles a day. I think he’ll walk his daughter down the aisle and be around for many years to come.
