Survivor Gabon - Sugar Wars

Ken has been flying under the radar and shooting down the competition. After Marcus was blindsided at tribal, Bob knows his number is up next and even though he teaches science, he’ll be history.

Fang gets their first look at the Marcus-less Kota tribe. Corinne was pissed and Charlie was broken hearted. Buck up and take it like a man – play some golf. The reward challenge is a game of slingshot golf. The Kota team had great aim, thanks to Bob, they had an early lead. By the second hole though, it was all tied up. It all came down to the last hole which Kenny overshot giving Fang the opportunity to take the prize. Matty and Randy got a little tense when it came down to the last shot, and even though they won, Randy was annoyed. Charlie just wanted everyone to get along. For the first time, Sugar wasn’t sent to Exile Island, because she was finally on the winning tribe. Bob got to go instead.

The reward was a visit to a local village and when Fang arrived they got a little shower. The tribes’ people beat them with wet leaves and dressed them in traditional garb. During a feast, Randy caught the eye of one of the local girls. Who knows, maybe Survivor will have better luck than the Bachelor.

Just when things were looking up for Randy, Kenny was feeling like a stud at camp, with Bob at Exile Island. Ken’s pickings are slim though, it’s a choice between Susie or Crystal. After 30 days they’re starting to look pretty good.

Bob couldn’t find the idol (not surprising, since Sugar has it) but he spent some time designing a fake idol. It’s a pretty good imitation but Kenny and Crystal know Sugar has the real deal. Maybe they’ll think there are two idols.

Randy is holding a major grudge against Crystal. He better be careful what he says, cuz Crystal could kick his ass. And she’ll get a chance too, since the tribes finally merge. The immunity challenge is an individual competition. The players will have to build a fire using flint, steel and kindling. The first one to build a fire big enough to burn through a rope wins individual immunity.

Susie was the first to get a spark and had a decent blaze in no time at all. Sugar was the second one to light it up. Susie won immunity and Corinne was not a happy camper.

The united tribe arrived at camp and enjoyed a feast, but as soon as the bellies were full the game playing began. Charlie, Randy, Corinne and Bob want to vote for Crystal, while Matty, Kenny, Crystal and Susie want to vote for Charlie. Thanks in part to Kenny carrying a grudge about the immunity idol clue Charlie spotted during their last sit down meal. Sugar is the swing vote and both sides know it. Corinne thinks Sugar is stupid and gullible but Sugar is an actress and she’s darn good at the role she’s playing.

At tribal Crystal asked Randy what the problem was. Randy said Crystal and GC (her posse) ran the tribe like a gang and were the reason Fang kept losing. Randy voted for Crystal and had to fess up because he didn’t write her name down, opting for initials only.

The only vote that counted though was Sugar’s and she stayed loyal to Kenny & Crew. Charlie was voted out.
