  1. Plug Removal: Use the provided large wrench to unscrew the plug by turning it counterclockwise.
  2. Nut Removal: Use the opposite end of the provided wrench to unscrew the large nut on the bulkhead fitting by turning it counterclockwise.
  3. Bulkhead Removal: After the nut is detached, press firmly against the bulkhead’s threads with your palm to push it through the barrel, then remove it entirely.

Installing New Upper/Top Port:

  1. Preparation: Remove the nut from the replacement bulkhead.
  2. Washer Positioning: Ensure the rubber washer’s smooth side is facing the smooth end of the bulkhead.
  3. Bulkhead Insertion: From inside the barrel, push the bulkhead through the port.
  4. Nut Attachment: While pressing against the bulkhead inside the barrel, screw the large nut onto the bulkhead clockwise until it’s finger-tight.
  5. Further Tightening: Use the provided tool to tighten the nut an additional 1/2 – 3/4 turn.
  6. Thread Tape Application: Apply 3-5 wraps of the provided thread tape to the plug’s threads, wrapping clockwise.
  7. Plug Installation: Screw the plug into the bulkhead and use the tool for final tightening.

For Bottom/Lower Bulkhead Assembly:

Pre-Filter Handling:
