Before anything else, a chiller has one job it must perform—achieving and maintaining the right temperature. The Ice Barrel Chiller makes it easy to cool water to as low as 37°F, even in ambient temperatures as high as 120°F. This impressive performance is powered by a true ½ horsepower system designed to be both intelligent and efficient.
SmartSense technology plays a big role here, it enables precise temperature control, allowing the chiller to use only 6 amps during cooling—much less than the typical 15-20 amps required by traditional chillers. Additionally, we use the environmentally-friendly R290 refrigerant, which boosts efficiency up to 50% compared to standard options. This means you get top-notch performance without wasting energy.
Additionally, based on feedback from the cold therapy community that always felt they needed to hide their hoses and tubes, we designed our sleek quick-connect hoses to work seamlessly with the high-flow water pump for maximum flow to ensure efficiency at the connection points with your Ice Barrel.
Durability: Built to Last in Any Environment
One of the biggest issues we hear from the community is that current chillers aren’t reliable for very long. Our own testing showed that most chillers lasted less than a year, with parts breaking and no communication to the owner as to what happened or how to fix it. Without knowing what’s wrong, owners are left in the dark and forced to replace the entire unit when any issues arise.
Which is why it was imperative that we designed the Ice Barrel Chiller with systemwide monitoring of all components to ensure seamless operation at all times. If any issues arise, the Chiller’s Protect mode automatically kicks in to safeguard the system and alert all users. This proactive approach means you can enjoy your cold therapy practice without having to guess if things are running smoothly. Plus, smart notifications let you know when it's time to clean or replace filters, keeping everything running optimally.
